    I've been listening to a bit of Funeral Doom metal the past week.
    This Aussie band are quite good- Mournful Congregation- Whispering Spiritscapes.



    It's a low tempo metal, with a dark, dirge-like ambience. Plenty of distorted guitar and drawn-out growling vocals about grief, doom, and all that other metal stuff. You know the drill

    For me, it's got all the doom and gloom of the most hardcore black goth metal, but with 1-poofteenth of the tempo and all the good bits.
