That would be useful if:

1. It didn't take forever to load.
2. You had a laptop with a wireless (satellite?) broadband connection ready so that you could check it when you actually needed fuel.

And how come ALL bar one servo in my area is exactly the same price?
Collusion ? No I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

On the other hand if I go out of my way I can save almost 1c per litre.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Here in the glorious west the govt has (shock surprise) actually introduced a good law. All fuel stations must declare their price for the next day at 3pm. This information is gathered at a website.

You can register at the site to receive emails on specific days of the week on the price of the type of fuel you use and the prices of all stations in whatever postcodes you specify.

It also gets information from wholesalers and sends out warning when a hike is coming and which stations are still selling at the old price.

I thought because we had this service that it existed all over Australia but apparently not. ?

yes but at even 15c a litre extra we are still better off as we get about double the distance for same amount

diesel would have to cost about 1.70 for it to equal the V8 consumption 8O

I'd duck for cover right about now glen, you may have some low flying bullets comin your way.

I have given up worrying about rising fuel costs, it wont change anything, oil companies and john howard are still greedy. He should put some more effort into oil taxes instead of other trivial crap. Matt

See i can see the benefit of both.....
i have the TDI fender and the V8 Disco...
One has power, one does not. one chews gas, one does not.

What is more fun????

Both have special feelings... V8 has that note nothing else has.
Diesel has that chatter that i love....
