Weekend of Work, Landys, Diff Guards, Shovels and Lucas

Been a busy Weekend, But i still achieved the following.....

Sat worked at that place that pays me...

Sun woke at midday and after my Sexy Fantastoc wife made me Eggs on toast i was into it.
Central locking on the Disco fixed/replaced.
Washed the disco and blew all the crap out of the engine bay.... What crap... the laquer stuff like CRC.....
Then i found the main oil leak...... Power steering hose to the Pump.
few small leaks on the sump and transfer.

Both mufflers have small holes.... bugger i'll have to put new ones on... Genuine... Hell Know... Noisey ones... V8... mmmmm

Then came washing Camilla..... Gembrook Mud is nasty stuff. Gritty and sticks really well. it is a bastard to get off.... 4 housr later and no day light it was clean... Kinda...
Then i shoveled the drive down and got the karcher out on it as well.
I love Karchers... they are great tools and use bugger all water...

Then i got the Diff Guards out and had a play with them, Not completely fitted yet, but will be... Camilla is looking good.

I designed the Rocksliders and have not made them but i know what i'll make... they will have side steps as well.. Side stepps protect you a bit more, but cause you to get dirty if you use it on a daily basis... I'll think about my options.
Also rear quarters are getting protectors as well.
Those are easy to make. I'll even be neat and use pipe and bend it....

I'll make a plan of it and list it eventually. i wont copyright it......lol.

Well back to the grinding wheel..... lots of flour to make.

Why make you driveway dirty? Take it to the hot wash and make the bay filthy with mud then come home and give her a nice hand wash.

The way Melbourne's weather is going we will be catching up with Sydney. Hot wash bays are the way to go to save water.

I still see people hand watering their lawns. Just because the rules say you can do it at a certain time doesnt mean you have to. Its not compulsory. If having water to shower in and drink etc means having a brown lawn who gives a stuff. I havnt mowed my lawn for over 6 months, why the hell would i want to make it grow and create work. Some people have no consideration. If they made watering lawns banned and allowed you to water shrubs and gardens etc with watering can or microspray irrigation (which requires less water and is far more effective at watering gardens cause it has time to soak not run off) the water situation wouldnt be so bad. Agree totally with you Mat, it's as if they have to water their lawns becasue they're restricted to when they can. I'm sure more people in my area are watering now than when there wasn't restrictions!

But in saying that, I'd love to be able to wash the disco by hand one day. Restrictions have been around far too long.

These are the current rules in Melbourne

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>On 1 March 2005, Stage Two Water Restrictions were lifted in Melbourne and replaced by Permanent Water Saving Rules.

The five key rules to remember are:

    1. Use manual watering systems only between 8pm - 10am to water your gardens and lawns.
    2. Use automatic watering systems only between 10pm - 10am to water your gardens and lawns.
    3. Fit your hose with a trigger nozzle to wash your car and water your gardens and lawns.
    4. No hosing paved areas, except under specified circumstances.
    5. Apply to fill a new pool or spa over 2000 litres. [/b][/quote]

Plant natives in your garden. No worries about watering.
