It rarely ends well where buy-a-brides are involved.

Ken had another interview with the woman at the community center again, but I have not seen him since as his horrible wife is home. I will know more next week, it is pension day I am worried about..

Try and be there as a witness when she goes berserk and then call the police. Once you have given them a statement he can then get a AVO taken out on her and she will have to live elsewhere. Simple as.

Pre-nup agreement, after thought for most.

He will need to spend some coin to get all he is entitled to......as for the free services, you get what you pay for.

Problem is Ken is 86, he still has his marbles but he is tired, he wants his things, his house just as things are above all else. She uses this worry he has big time as she know he will sign almost anything to have a quite life.
I have told Ken if she gets violent when she finds out she is no longer getting his pension to come here, then we call the police (who are my friends).

Can you pre-warn the police about the situation?

They can't do a thing unless a complaint is made. Must be made by the old fella, no one else counts, legally. If he doesn't want to lodge a complaint, all you can do is sit back & watch. Until your mate is prepared to admit he made the biggest mistake of his life, not much may change. Old blokes sometimes have too much pride to admit that. Are you sure you are not butting in to something you should step back from?Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I told them already and I know them personally but they cant do anything until he calls.
I have done all I can, everyone who can help knows, I just hope he comes here if things go pear shaped over the next days.
In a way I hope she flips out and gets caught out as long as Ken is OK. If she looses the plot and gets caught in the long run he will be happier.

I've followed this Thread, but not qualified to give any advice. It is a very sad situation for an old bloke in the twilight of his life to have to put up with this sort of crap.

I guess the message is, be VERY careful who you become involved with and the two problems I can see in this case is first....the age difference and secondly, they are from completely different backgrounds.

I really hope it works out and the old fella can see out his last days in peace and quiet.

p.s. I might have missed something here but does he have any family who can assist him.?
