What rock have you been under, not only do you need a licence, you need to undertake 25 hours of annual CFE (continuing float education), 6 hours of annual mandatory float training and lodge a Float Plan with FloatServices Australia.
Your water craft has to be inspected every six months by FloatCoverNSW or StateFloat Vic (depending upon where you live) for the correct buoyancy equipment and driftnutting.
Oh. I'd better get legal, then.

Who do I see for a license?
Inspectors are usually green and the official greeting is "Knee Deeeep" in your deepest voice. Happy floating.
