Unless I have no time, or I'm going OS, I much prefer to drive. I was only on those flights because I had fractured my T6 vert, and driving the OKA home was out of the question. And I had to go back up and get the thing when my back had settled down some.

My brother lives in Mackay. His occupation requires him to fly to Longreach, collect the 'Company Car', which is a set-up for remote travel Prado, and visit several Western towns and districts, including Birdsville.
To get to Longreach, he first flies Mackay to Brissie, then Brissie to Longreach. [biggrin]

No bus from Mackay to Longreach?

When i worked at AE Smith,we installed the AC at the Stockmans Hall of Fame.

One of the commissioning techs had recently lost his license,so they sent him from Brisbane to site and back by Coach.
He wasn't a happy chappy...[biggrin]

I couldn't go as i was still sorting the mess out at Jupiters Casino,it had opened a couple of years before.
Apparently the biggest construction job in Aus that year,built by Jennings.
