I remember one night up near the Orkneys it snowed and in the morning after breakfast we came out to find the Focus completely buried under a mound of snow, so we dug it out and it wouldn't open because everything was frozen, so we gave up, went back inside for second breakfast, and the sun didn't rise until 10am and only stayed up for 5 hours before disappearing. The guest house operator mentioned that we were north of Moscow! I can see why the Vikings were so hairy (to keep warm).
I think I'd rather be hot than that cold.
