Artistic license. The ceramic tile merchants of Herculaneum ran out of the special blue-rings-on-them tiles that week. And if you'd travelled all the way from the Mediterranean to the Indian ocean and took two thousand years to do it, you'd feel rather reduced too. If the Suez Canal had been put in earlier, the blue rings would have got here with much more muscle mass.Quote:
