    Sunbury | Wine Australia

    https://www.wineaustralia.com/discov...-wines/sunbury

Sunbury. Sunbury, near Melbourne, is one of Victoria's oldest wine regions, having produced wine since the 1860s. A wide variety of grapes successfully ripen ...

    Homy,

I had no idea about this, until a friend mentioned he'd received a bottle from this region in his wine of the month club delivery.

Yeah, there’s several Wineries within a stones throw of my place, and a dozen within 15 minutes drive - never been to any of them... 😇. They are more for tourists - open by appointment only, etc. Buses of wine tasters come in on the weekends and apparently some good drops, but never got around to checking them out. Maybe one day. 😊

I survived an expedition into dangerous unexplored territory - the women's section at Woolies - plus a detour into babies. Was sent on a mission, with pictures to ensure I got the right products. Scary stuff - I need a coffee!

Recently I saw something unusual - this beautifully restored Kombi - which lives in a private storage unit in Brisbane. All I know is I think it's a 1965 with a transplanted 1500cc air cooled engine.
Apparently the owner has spent a LOT of money on it.
He is said to have eight Kombis, although I haven't seen them.
I'm a bit puzzled about why anyone would want 8 Kombis. One seems enough toy to me. Each to his own I suppose.

True. But at least LRs are useful. Kombis are just slow old boxes on wheels.

I survived an expedition into dangerous unexplored territory -

Interesting. If you had bumped into a very olde bloke with a beard in there you could have asked the immortal question.

    "Dr Livingstone, I presume?"
