Thanks John, thought that may have been the case. It was a long time ago.

Looks a bit like the "new" Defender Cammo scheme.

Now you see it, now you don't.

Good stuff Mick,, some nice rigs there, and that Mack in green,, yumm.
That camo blue truck, there's a couple of them currently running the Hume at the moment, pretty cool to see.
The old truck is an Inter to,, you can see the badge on the grill.

The show was much bigger and more interesting than I expected, as someone who knew nothing about the trucking industry. There are certainly a lot more jobs than the traditional image of smelly drivers and dirty mechanics. For example, there's a huge amount of administration involved, so business skills are very important, and the IT and telematics side is enormous now, with the trucks all live connected and freight being tracked. One truck had 17 computers! Also a lot of women in the industry now. We met a female mechanic who trains other mechanics, the boys liked her. I cruised the stalls for training groups to see what is being offered.
It was interesting to see six of our group put up their hands saying they are interested in working in the industry. Two of them have already done work experience with transport companies. A former student now works for Cummins. Plus the boys raided all the freebies stalls and came away with a stack of stuff.
So a useful day out. Who says education isn't practical?

Dodge supplied panels and cab complete to IH, who in turn supplied some mechanical components. This arrangement lasted well into the '70s when both the D5N Dodge and D Line Inters were superseded.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
