Are they the1.3 or the 1.5?
I've never been interested enough to check but it's not big enough whatever it is. Horrible car.
I'm waiting now for the Hilux - apparently they've done a 'burn' of the DPF to keep it going until they can find me a new one. Hopefully it won't belch smoke everywhere now or at least a bit less.
My brothers work hilux did the same thing 3 different times. The amount of white smoke that comes out of it is rather embarrassing. Did the manual burn as well.
Plus his auto started to clunk at the same time. Then 2 days later the other work hilux did the same thing!
Just got it back - there's a new procedure out just week the dealers have to go by - the service manager showed me but it's not for general viewing. About 3 hours of testing and burns required to get a yes or no now for a new DPF. Apparently the most common fault is the burn injector failing which causes the DPF to clog up. The new procedure requires this test and repair before a DPF is approved for replacement.
...uh oh
