In Thailand they give their kids English nicknames. Not English names, just English words.

So there were kids called coke, cake, and "no name".

Served with a man named Love, out of respect we called him by his first name, when we wanted to stir him up, his nick name was " lovey ", he took it well. Certain Asian lady boys found it interesting.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

'Sin' is a common surname in The Philippines, as in Cardinal Sin.

Old films you thought were good when you were young, but are really crap - Just watched ‘Moonraker’ for the first time in 40 years - that’s 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back....

Appaling acting, and very cheesy. Did we expect less back then for our dollars?

Still, more fun than waiting at traffic lights.
    Cheers, Billy.

As a kid I enjoyed the Thunderbirds. As an adult I find it more enjoyable. It's hard to believe that I never saw the strings or realised how amateurish the production and plots were.
I recall one episode where Lady Penelope was uncontactable, due to the fact that one of her sheep was lost, on her Australian sheep farm.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    Thunderbirds had strings???

    Well, I never!

I think we accepted poor standards by today's benchmarks because we didn't have any other measurement to go by until those benchmarks caught up.

Mind you, some of the high tech effects, story lines & "whooshing" background noises are crap I can well do without.

Me stalled in the 60s? Sounds about right.
