I've noticed some of the lady dog walkers around here seem to dye their hair the same colour as their dog. 🐕
You'd have thought Winsock could have given us the heads up on that one.

People do love their dogs and not just enough to look like them. A couple I've seen for years has a really old or lazy dog so they bring a pram with and when it gets tired they put it in the pram and push it around.

I used to take our old Doberman for a walk down the street,as that was one of the things she enjoyed. She would get so far, then decide no more.
Then i would tie the lead to a fence or post and go and get the wheelbarrow, put her in and push it back home, sure was good exercise.
I still remember the day i put her in the back of the van and said goodbye to her at the local vet.
She was 14 and a half, and had a great life, including two litters of purebred pups.
Showing my age, that would have been close to 27yrs ago.
Coming home from Yass yesterday, I stopped for lunch in a park at Canowindra. While there, sitting at a picnic table with my dog on a leash attached to the bench, I was talking to another traveller, also with a somewhat larger dog.
The dogs at first were friendly to each other, but then they circled round each other tangling the leashes. The other dog then attacked mine, grabbing her by the back of the neck.
It was not a particularly fierce dogfight, and it only took us moments to separate them.
Mine then scuttled for shelter under the table - leaving the other dog with both leashes properly clipped to her collar! It beats me how this happened, and neither of us had ever heard of it happening before. Has anyone else?
