On a recent trip to Echuca, LPG near Jerilderie, NSW, was 99c/l. Across the border in Vic it was 57c.

It was cheaper to drive on petrol than use LPG in that part of NSW.

Just for the record, I don't drive 220km from home to Albion Park to fill up on cheaper petrol.

However I do pass through there every time I go to visit my grandchildren.

Seeing as though we are getting technical about spelling and grammar, most sources seem to indicate that a capital "N" as in Nazi, is used to refer to Hitler's regime. A small "n" nazi commonly refers to the 3rd definition of the word in the Oxford dictionary. 'A person who seeks to impose their views on others in a very autocratic or inflexible way". The terms spelling or grammar nazi are very common terms used in this context and are not linked with the actions of Hitler's Nazi party in any definition I've read anywhere. Of course, there is no hard and fast rule on this, but the use of the small "n" should indicate that DAMINK was NOT implying that P38rover was in any way acting like or connected with Hitler's regime, and neither should he, the idea is preposterous.

I can get a 20 cent price difference by crossing the road in some suburbs.

the nazies where promoters of animal conservation, anti-tobacco movement, welfare programs, volkswagen, the autobarn, modern rocketry, modern film/photography, medical science, low crime rates, strong family values, first "western" country out of the depressesion, low unemployment, high spelling standards.

unfortunately they were not good at humor.

I think the Nazis introduced autobahns not Autobarn, which is a much more recent development.

And worth noting that Mussolini is famous for getting the trains to run on time.

What a deplorable lack of capitalization. Besides the sentence structure, I believe a capital "N" was required when referring to Hitler's bunch of boofheads. And humour? Are you American? They were Germans, it's well known they have no sense of humour AND, it's appropriate to inject some racial stereotyping into the conversation considering the subject matter. The icing on the cake being no reference to the topic at hand, fuel prices.

I'm enjoying the fact that lately, diesel has been cheaper than petrol at every garage I've filled up at for weeks now.

Hitler built the Autobahn, which is the original freeway between Hamburg and Berlin Basil. It still has the Autobahn sign on it from memory.

Fuel prices are very cyclical and seem to be dearer in more affluent areas.
