Thread: You meet land rover people in the strangest situations...

We had a bit of an event up here over the past 24 hours, hit and run 2km up the highway, which resulted in a fatality, and the other bloke left the scene with head injuries.
So we had the crash unit up from Sydney, PolAir circling and landing on my girlfriend's property, lots of activity.
Having not found old mate they started searching local properties.
So having dragged myself out of bed, battling my man cold, there's a knock at the door and the crash scene unit is parked on the nature strip and an officer on our door.
So he filled us in and asked if we could double check with him in our sheds etc to see if old mate has stashed himself away in any of them. So off we trot, as we walk past the garage he says 'so who's is the Disco?'
Thus began my great chat with the crash unit officer about land rovers, he loves the Discos, took his D1 up the cape no worries.
Then he got back in his patrol and left
