If you cannot present a single fact to counter Abs or Ceo pays or link you can fact off be fact free and continue trolling your Unbacked beliefs ,but it will be ignored.
    Lol.
I don't need to provide figure or example mate, because you simply can't understand.
The fact is, unrealistic wage increases have never, & will never, do anything to increase our competitiveness (which is the issue here),..in fact they will do the opposite, simply because they increase our COSTS relative to our competitors. You choose to ignore that even before Holden decided to leave, Ford made their decision citing COSTS of manufacturing in this country,....but I know that you don't understand......that wages and "conditions", are a big part of those costs.
You didn't even understand the point about Penalty rates, costing jobs,....even when I did give you a "coal face" example/answer....why they couldn't be paid, and the consequence of that. You simply didn't wanna know, even though similar comments have been all over the media, & closed businesses, particularly restaurants are now closed on Sunday.
You want a real "example" of where we differ?.....A real "FACT" of our differences is that I say that the recent CFMEU "increase" of 20% over 4 years is unreasonable & counter productive,....YOU DON'T. Is that correct?
"Troll"?,..there is only one here,...and it ain't me,.....unless a Troll is someone who is giving his opinion & sticking to it.
And mate,.."CEO'S",....have you forgotten, or maybe you're not bothering to read my posts anymore?!....I've already posted that I think those sorts of "salaries" are obscene.

So even though Labour costs are one of the least significant, lets just concentrate on that and ignore or dismiss all the others, such as putting support measures in place that equal those of our competitors overseas. By the way. Ford sighted as the main reasons for ending Australian manufacture: Volume to low to provide economy of scale for the market niche and High Australian Dollar due to Mining boom. A factor which hit all Australian manufacturing very hard indeed.
Just my stupid uneducated opinion of course.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

Yup it's all the pay rates fault, that the cost of power at the Portland smelter rose by almost the entire wages bill? That we sell gas which China use to make power cheaper to them than to our own industry and power generation companies?
Yup it's all our pay rates fault that gmh, toymota, fomoco can build a car in Thailand tax free for 7 years and drop it here FTA tax free. Or that they ALL get double the $$$$ support per car built in the USA, EU or UK.
That , and this is on topic not off it, every steel making country except us have massive protection plans and tarrifs and procurement laws, but according to you it's all our pay! U.K. Part nationalisation , USA 50% procurement and now 525% import tax, Canada ,90% govt procurement, South Africa 100% govt..........
Just continue to ignore the facts, don't challenge them in anyway but with a repeated spiel, do you do part time work for newslimited or fox?
    Keep up the trolling pickles.

lol,...Frantic, you've broken your promise,...you said you would ignore my posts, and in addition, (or maybe this is "selective ignoring?) you did NOT answer whether you thought the CFMEU increases were a good thing,....so, do you?...Do you support them or not?
I will be interested to see what the administrators in your neck of the woods have to say about wages,..particularly without ANY productivity gains included?....Can't see them toeing the CFMEU line,....can you?

No administrators in my neck of the woods?
To me a 11.7% increase in the value of your product to your employer is pretty good? Is it to you?
Now to me if they ask for 1% of that 11.7% gain through a5% pay rise it's not very greedy especially when the boss has already stuffed 100% or several million into his back pocket.
Now to me 1% out of an almost 12% rise in the cost of building is not the major issue, to you it's the only one. Go start a thread on pay rates.

More than 40 companies eyeing parts of collapsed Arrium | smh.com.au

It's a real embarrassment that a Tory govt in the uk is offering to nationalise part of their steel industry to save it yet we cant even get a commitment from either side!

    HEY FRANTIC,......I AGREE.
Maybe we differ on why we agree.
I say, that many Aussies only care about what goes into their own pockets, "what's in the budget for me", ?'m no better off with this Budget", "this budget is going to cost me".....etc etc etc.
Have you heard it before?...well anyway,..that's what I think....a lot of em wouldn't have ever even heard of Arrium.
