    well from what I've seen and heard in the last week or so , there will be so many employment opportunities available after July that our manufacturing industries will rebirth on the sheer weight of reinvented productivity.

    Well last week in Nsw state parliament (upper house ) a local procurement bill was put up by most sections, but one group did some filibustering so the vote got delayed until August , absolutely no reason for that at all!
    One of the ramblings has had a highly negative response. Anyone care to guess why?

    One of my favourite bands,....seen 'em live on several occasions.

    "Costs"??!!....It goes on, and on,...and on.
    But of course I've got no facts, I don't know what I'm talking about etc etc.
    Any way here's a couple more examples:
    1.Herald Sun Melbourne. P11.Monday June 27. CFMEU "Deal", to inflate cost of toll road & metro rail projects....."would add hundreds of millions of dollars to the cost of Vic Gov projects"....."would also add $89 per sq meter to the cost of apartments, meaning an extra $6000 for an average apt. "the new agreement would undoubtedly flow through to ccivil projects"
    2. Herald Sun Melbourne. p23. Saturday July 2. CFMEU Loy Yang "wage claim"..workers demanding $180,000 p.a. for a FOUR DAY WEEK, pay to walk from a car park, $15 pw mobile phone allowance..21.5% over 4 years previously rejected. This is power generation, a MAJOR cost to manufacturing,...ain't gonna help is it?
    I still say COSTS of many descriptions are a major issue, if we are to be competitive,...it will be interesting to see what comments relative to "costs" come to light when all of the Whyalla stake holders finally sit down around the table.

    But I'm waiting until 6.00pm to go there. I think Ch 7 have some good guys on too, including one of my heros Jeff Kennett, but my focus will be Ch 2.
    Wasn't going to have a drink until Dinner, but the stress has got to me, so Wifey & I have had a couple of reds!!
    One of the results I want to see is Barnaby wiping the floor with that oxygen thief, self centered ******, Tony Windsor. Strong words?...Yes. So, why do I say them? When the Coalition won Govt, He lost his ridiculous "balance of power" position & squibbed off....because He knew that now, no-one would take any notice of him. "Didn't have the heart for it anymore" He said.
    So, this is NOT a "Political"thread.
    Whilst we may be on "opposing" sides, I hope you & yours enjoy the evening too.
