Australia actually has more than two - national flag, merchant navy ensign, army flag (same as national), naval ensign, air force flag, civil aviation flag, not to mention all the state and territory flags, plus the aboriginal flag.

Same sort of thing applies to other countries, for example, the UK has the Union Flag, red ensign, blue ensign, white ensign, or the USA, which has the national flag and merchant navy ensign. And I am sure many other countries also have multiple flags, most commonly a distinctive flag at sea and for armed forces.

I can't see why the Kiwis aren't part of our flag.

They are closer to NSW/Qld than Perth.

They choose to live here as it suits them.

Many of them take Australian's jobs.

They participate in most sporting competitions ( we will eventually win them over to AFL ).

It would be absolutely brilliant to have them as another state of Australia.

It would be beneficial to both countries to fly under the same banner.

Funnily enough, I know plenty of Aussies who think this exact thing. I don't know any Kiwis that would agree

Correct - there is provision in the constitution for NZ to join at any time. I suspect it is very unlikely, not because Australians would object, but because they would!

No they didn't, the Vietnam vets died for their country and for what they believed was right, what happened to them(and Korean Vets) when they came back home was down right disgusting.

People seem to forget that part.

AND I WON'T LEAVE IT ALONE!
