    Question for Darwin blokes.

Longalonga story, but had an offer on the farm the other day and thinking about heading north. Can you local blokes tell me the down side of Mcminns lagoon area, looks like a nice spot.

G'day Ean, Nothing specific, I guess we just need a little reassurance that it is a good spot to live. Made an offer on a property there yesterday and the prices up your way are a bit of a shock to the system, compared to down here. Tombie, it looks like the house will be about ten feet off the ground, so if we get a snapping hand bag in with us, there will be a lot of people in trouble.

Bugger, if its like down here you have to be around for 25 years to be a local, I may be dead before my Mexican status is erased.

You'd be used to crocs. Just out of Hamilton, on the way to Dunkeld, there is a farm at Warrayure that has a "Danger Crocodiles" sign on the fence around it's dam.

Swim in the lagoons or rivers and that may very well be the case.

As a croc attack survivor , I can tell you by the time you see them its usually to late.

There are plenty of good safe swimming holes, so its not all that bad. See a wet season storm in full swing is something you never get sick of.

Its an expensive place to buy , but you sell at a high price to , so it averages out. There are far worse places than McMinns lagoon that's for sure.

    Cheers Ean
