Batteries and electric motors require cooling too, just not as much as petrol engines. Batteries without active temperature management (e.g. current model Leafs) have to reduce charging speed to stop heat build up with multiple charge and discharge cycles per day. (Relatively) fast charging is one of the main features of Tesla systems.Quote:
