Hardly a storm. Watered the veggies though! We old hands don't panic, Ian, just go with the flow [ no pun intended ] Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

We very rarely get hail in Redcliffe, not sure why. Also seem to miss most of the storms. Perhaps they get drawn to the bays on the north and south, or drop their payload on the mountains to the west?

My Disco got hammered in the Valley last November. Dents in pretty much every panel, cracked windscreen. Insurance paid out and wrote it off as unrepairable, but I managed to buy it back at scrap value and re-registered it. Still drives fine, so suits me fine to have the cash in the bank instead.

One thing I wasn't warned about though was that the car is de-registered automatically, even with just panel damage, and you have to apply to have registration reinstated.

By the time I got the letter in the mail telling me so, I had driven from Brisbane to Proserpine and return. Oops.

I did hear a theory hail was attracted to granite, so place like Chermside cop it regularly, something to do with conductivity.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
    apologies to Socrates

Clancy's gone to Queensland Rovering, and we don't know where he are
