You may find it useful to read the problems I documented here starting November last year, but eventually got it repaired.

After about 45 mins, cops, firies and meatwagon all turned up at same time. None of us rang them. Cops didnt book anyone, didnt want to know. Talked to one of the seargents,he said unless theres injuries or death, they leave it alone.

When my XR6 Falcon got shoved into the car in front of me, I rang the cops to come and look at the traffic diversion that caused the whole thing (set up by some moron civil workers).

The Cowboys that turned up weren't interested in all the near misses happening before their eyes, and wanted to book the three drivers involved in the accident I was in (all three of us were cooperative and exchanged details!) and all cars were drivable. In typical me fashion I told him to shove that up his wazoo and we all drove off... that killed a lot of respect I previously had for police.

Good to hear your experience was somewhat better!

    UPDATE

    Assessor has been and gone.......................
$12,000 to fix and that's with 2nd hand tailgate.
Rang the repairers and told him to disconnect the battery please.
Told him I don't want to fork out another $460 for another battery after they flatten this one.

    cheers

Well after what seems like a month, they finally gave the go ahead to get it repaired. Apparently the accessor hadn't been out at all, it was the smash repairs that put the quote in.
Repairers said that the mob I'm with have gone down hill in a big way over the last couple of years and they're taking there time with all the infighting that's going on inside the company.
I said thanks for the info, I'll be changing insurance companys when it comes due early next year.
It will be ready week after next...
