As I said to few folk over the weekend...
Vegetables is what food eats![]()
Apparently we're eating too much meat and its been linked to colon cancer, according to the WHO. The finger is being pointed at processed meats, including sausages and bacon. We are advised to limit our meat consumption to once a day and eat more veggies.
Personally, I think its always the right time for bacon. On the other hand, The Navigator is gluten-intolerant, so our meals have been pretty healthy lately and my waistline has even shrunk slightly (which could also be related to my replacing beer with wine).
I had a laugh at Barnaby Joyce, who obviously enjoys both steak and beer, who said if we listened to the WHO we'd all be living in caves. Don't see Barnaby as a pasta and veggies man, somehow.
So, what's the go folks, is it time to give up meat or can we happily just go on chowing down, as the Yanks might say?

What a load of **** some of these mobs are...
I eat 2 Porterhouse Steaks a night, and combined with Green veggies etc continue to lose weight and get stronger..
My primary diet is Protein based - so lots of Meat with Greens for vitamins and minerals and a truck load of Protein Sups (amongst other sups)...
I'm 32kg lighter than last year and a **** load healthier... So the WHO can go kiss may arse!
As posted it is the processed meats that are the problem. Nothing wrong with the old meat and three veggies. White meat as in pork, chicken and fish is the best.

Don't worry, they all change there mind on what is "good for us" every 5 years or so ........... I figure just eat everything and anything in moderation. And you'll be fine
A far bigger issue is the fact no-one moves anymore. It's not just the fact people eat a tremendous amount of food. Most poeples only exercise is the walk to there car to drive somewhere.

There is also a genetic disposition in some people to get colon cancer, so I wonder if that was considered.
If your father had Colon cancer you have a 50% chance of getting it, according to Dr Google.
I knew a bloke when I worked in Austrade who had colonoscopies every year to try and get it early, as his father had died from it.

...best thing could happen to those things.
I think just eat real natural food, not packet stuff as much as possible, and you will be a long way ahead.
