    Surely, all of these issues are for your insurance company to solve...

    If the starter motor is bung due to the accident, then they will have to get it replaced.

    I reckon they'll find the car is in gear ... or something simple and stupid like that

    If the car was in gear, the starter wouldn't be clicking.
    Try giving the starter a sharp tap.
    If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    I assumed they could hear a relay clicking. If it's the solenoid, yep there up for a new starter. I can't see how a car getting hit up the arse can damage a starter motor though
