Questions to ask BEFORE a test drive

Have been out test driving a few second hand cars for the missus this weekend, and came back from a run in a Toymota Aurion (vroom vroom), when the owner indicated that he was pretty keen to shift it soon as it wasn't actually insured at the moment!

Cripes. Luckily there were no incidents, but who would have been responsible if there had been?

    YOU!
Responsibility for damage (at least to the other vehicle) is on the driver

Gambling? I'm not by nature a risk taker (except when it comes to jobs, for some reason), so insurance is sort of like betting I won't have an accident, which I'm happy to do.

In the end, looks like we've bought the car, just waiting on a mechanic check. A 2007 Toymota Aurion. 3.5L V6, in a mid size sedan body. Goes a little faster than my Disco 2 TD5 I've got to say. Almost pooped my pants when I first put my foot down for the test drive. And that was before I knew it was uninsured.
