Yes my son often alarms me by telling tales of 250kmh on his then GSXR 1000 on the Putty Rd and dodging a roo at that speed.
Ditto on the old Pacific.
My grandfather and father used to run a bus service from Tweed to Mullumbimby in the 1920s using Dodge service cars. It would have been hard going across the Burringbar gap back then. I haven't got a photo unfortunately but I do have a photo from him and his brother Vic on a Harley.
