    I like this one. Perhaps we can grow up, like the kiwis, and combine English, & native. And get rid of that union jack, on the flag

    I'm afraid we will become a republic, and use the USA as a template. That would be a disaster. That frightens me.

    If we retain the parliamentary majority system for forming government, and just make the President appointed by a majority of parliament, as happens now with the Governor-General, but without the subservience to a foreign monarch, then that could work, I think.
    As John Howard might have said, Australians will decide who leads us and the manner in which they do it.
