    Central Coast 3D printing?

    Hi guys and girls

I recently had my coffee grinder grind a nylon gear instead of coffee beans. In all their wisdom Breville don't sell the part anymore, so im left with a $300 grinder that doeant work because of a $5 part.

Anyway im looking for use of a 3D printer to try and obtain a suitable gear myself. Happy to use a commercial place or someones shed

    I don't have a 3D model of the gear.

Can anyone recommend a place that would manufacture this sort of part? As per the title need to be near Central Coast NSW. Newcastle or Sydney is fine too.

    Cheers

    Dan

Thanks crash, more looking for a place to print stuff rather than a printer. I need a pretty high resolution for a gear too so not sure if the Aldi printer would be good enough.

Sam D - i checked online and could only find that bunnings sells a dremel 3d printer. You sure they were actually printing stuff? If so ill duck down to my bunnings and aee if they do too

    Cheers

Check out www.makexyz.com . It is a bureau service of enthusiasts who have 3d printers who are looking for projects to play with. A search may even find a user local to you.

Hmm... maybe I did misinterpret what I saw when I walked past it. Apologies if I sent you on a wild goose chase!

Thanks cjc, i have another similar site so i will try both.

Haha no worries Sam. I was really hoping they did as that would be a fantastic service. All the printing places ive found are either too busy for a small job or charge over $100 for a 50x50x50mm sized print

I had some roof rack legs 3D printed. From memory they were around $27 each. I happened to score a makexyz member only about 10 minutes drive away! I did construct the 3D model though. All he had to do was import the model into his printer driver software and print it.

    Cheers,
