There are reputable diy paint protection products out there such as: https://www.carcareproducts.com.au/p...x/si3d_coating

It seems to get good feedback. It's lasts about 12 mths. I might give this a try one day.

    Here's an example by a detailer: http://www.autopaintprotection.com.au

Here's one the dealers sell, which seems to get good feedback.

I had a car retinted at this place. I was impressed by their laboratory clean aircon workshop and service. They quoted about $900 to do the RRV, which is a bit much for me. I'll continue to spend time and $150/yr on quality shampoo, clay bar and spray wax to keep the paint in good condition. I'm paying closer attention to paint maintenance since the 110 respray paint job turned to powder. Another option for protection the roof paint is 3M vinyl wrap.

Tony, good to see your not typing in capitals ( Shouting), but to the eye of the reader please make your text ALIGN left instead of centre.
I makes it easier to read, you may find a lot of readers may just bypass the post.
Not having a go, but quick reading is easier on the eye.
    Cheers, Mario

I edited my post to put a link in. They apply opticoat. At those prices I'm betting they would rather do it themselves. In fairness they do "paint correction" before application. That could just be a machine polish.

Yep.....I can't seem to find anyone that sells it......
They are all detailers that will apply the product......
    Not retailers or resellers......

I've already buffed the roof back myself and got a bit of shine back.....
Now I just want to seal it......permanently if possible without respraying it.....

That's why I thought this product would be perfect......but it seems to be top secret......
For the rest of the body I'll try kamikaze overcoat......

I've seen that one......its not as durable as the one i was looking for......
but i might have to go for one of these......running out of options......

i might have to make some kind of sponge on a stick to attempt to wash and seal the roof......
might be the only way......other than taking the racks off.......

Try the smash repairer in Helensburgh, the first one on the right opposite the Lawnmower guy, he supplied us with some products he recommended, he only does Classic cars now, so should have what you want or know where to get it.

    Welcome home Tony
    Cheers Baz.
