For the first (and probably only time) I agree with Mars. had the same problem a couple of years ago but they removed my stones 'the other way' which was particularly unpleasant and i won't go into it here in the 'campfire chat with kids' section.

Start yelling and screaming, panadiene and voltarin for kidney stones ? have you got the 'work experience' nurse or something or maybe an ISIS doctor who wants to make Christmas as painful as possible ?

Seriously, my BP was 210 over something when I had went to cas with mine and they were right on top of it with the morphine to reduce stroke risk. Crack the ****s, if nothing else they'll give you some real pain relief.

Merry Christmas, with a bit of luck Santa will bring you some morphine.

All good now. Stone passed very painfully. Feel ok now. Back home now with snoopy. Doc said bloods all normal and kidney function normal too. Said just take over the counter pain killers now, and drink water not coke. Thanks everyone. Merry Christmas.

    Cheers Rod🎅

Glad to hear a good result. Been there, done that, hopefully never again. Morphine is the only effective pain relief. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Good news, Rod. Glad it's over....... 'till next time, eh?

I find a few doses of "Ural" helps smooth things over too.
Then again, it could all be in my mind.

Had another stone a couple of months back.
Would have called the ambo, but was home alone, and couldn't stay conscious long enough to find my phone.

In the end, it was "only" 5mm, but had some sadistic spurs hanging from the sides.

But 5mm trying to squeeze out of a smaller diameter. with females the pelvis is designed to enlarge but us mere mortal males don't have that luxury .
It's even life threatening in the stones get stuck and block's the urethra and the blander starts filling to explode.

Unfortunately statistic say if your had kidney stones before you will be likely to get them again, I'm on my third ones..
Glad you passed them can now a least enjoy Christmas day.
    Cheers, mario

Well that's a first, it's the total opposite with me, I will never agree with you.
I can not find it in me, no compassion even with this yule tide time, good will to all man kind, I just can't find it in me Deano.
You must be getting soft and mellowing in your old age. At least one of us is still strong.

    Cheers, Mario

This is the fourth lot for me. First time was about 14 yrs ago and they passed with morphine as pain relief, second time was 11 yrs ago and stone was so big I needed surgery to break it up and let it pass, not nice at all I can tell you. Third time I just took some oxy norm 20mg and drank litres of water and it passed, but this time the oxy norm wouldn't even touch the pain, so I went to hospital and as I got there the pain was shifting towards the front so the stone was moving through, so I just needed monitoring and pain management, but I only got the monitoring and very little of the pain management. I think I got them coz last week I been drinking lots of coke, more than I usually do and I wasn't drinking any water at all. Coke dehydrates you. Im just glad its over.

    Cheers Rod:thumbup:

Is it a known fact that that 8 letter hyphenated drink is responsible for kidney stones?
