    I wrote to elgas....here is the response this morning from Eric Hahn...interesting

    "I think you will see a resurgence in LPG with the introduction of the Euro 6 air pollution requirements in 2017.

    Diesels have a very difficult time complying whilst LPG passes with ease.

    Which diesels? Car or truck? Most European truck engine manufacturers as well as some other big global engine builders have already got Euro 6 certification.

    Don't know about cars though...

    I like LPG not only because it is cheaper than fuel, but also for the performance gain.

    Being a dry fuel you also don't get oil washed off cyl walls. My last two Ford sixes had factory duel fuel.

    I did the head gaskets on both in excess of 300,000 kms and the cyl walls were like new.

    The cross hatch hone marks looked like it had just been done.

    My d2 4.0 at 270,000 running LPG from 100k looked like that too.
