    Victorian rego increased by $100?

Hi all, just went to pay my wifes rego on her car, and it has increased by $100 since last year?!? How the heck does the Govt justify this kind of thing? Very very unimpressed...

    That is odd.

VicRoads shakes up registration, licensing admin - motoring.com.au

It's not 1st July 2017 yet. Something else has changed.
Which component went up? The insurance or the registration?

Bugger. I linked the wrong article.
The one I was reading was October 2015 or thereabouts.

I've not heard of any rego increase, have you.

I reckon they've worked out they've been applying he wrong rate to the car/location or they've made a mistake.

Have not changed the location since last rego, however I input the old postcode and the price was the same inflated cost...

I looked at my regos last night. I was paying $660.50 for a family sedan about a year ago. A quick look on the Vicroads website and they tell me I should be paying $660.50 for a family sedan.
    No change here.

I reckon they have changed either your car classification or location. They've either made a mistake or corrected one.

How do the two registration forms compare?
