I went to transfer registration on recently purchased Disco and the forms authorisation company does not match the registration holders name. Seller says he intended to transfer the name to the company before I submitted the request but I beat him to VicRoads. There are now delays and I have until the end of week to complete the transfer on the current document and a week left on my RWC.

Should have it all sorted later today but it got me thinking, if a seller sells the car with proof of ownership but without owning the existing registration how does the new owner go about registering the car?
