    ANZAC DAY.

First dawn service I have missed since 1988.......

Dropped into a pub for lunch today and an old digger (hadn't served overseas) was refused service as they believed he had enough to drink. Kinda felt for him as the younger diggers he was appeared to be more ****ed.......we left as the younger fellas were trying to cheer him up.

I still haven't entered an RSL since my bad treatment........although I was sober so no real comparison.

As usual , went to the main march at Sandgate. Gave the Dawn service a miss, I wanted to watch the Rugby league games on today. Had a couple of beers with youngest son & partner, at the RSL. Totally different now Weeds. A good afternoon. Took my leave, to go to the sub branch, for a beer with old mates. It was there I met a most interesting woman, Yvonne Bence, the woman responsible for the scientific investigation into the carry over of agent orange into fresh water tanks of warships working in the littorial of Vietnam, by Dr Jochen Muller, from the National Research Centre for Enviromental Toxicology, here in Brisbane. This research was used by the Americans, during their congressional investigation into agent orange, and the effect on their military.

I walked away thinking " this is a bit different from the usual bull**** we carry on with , on Anzac Day". A most interesting human being.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    That's enough please guys....

Lets not ruin a day of reflection that is meant for our brave men and women that gave themselves for the country, with stupid arguments on the internet.

its inappropriate and quite frankly not needed.

Try and ignore each other and just enjoy the rest of the evening as best we can
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

There are stupid arguments, then there there are discussions. Please do not try to tell one who has put his life on the line, how they should approach this day of reflection.

    ANZAC DAY.

Bob, its not all about you many thousands of people are reflecting too.

What I'm telling you is its not ok for you to argue in the main forum and get personal.

If thats how you choose to reflect then thats fine and thats your choice but go do it somewhere else.

That tone is not welcome here from either party.
