..Probably wasn't... might be an answer.

I have reservations (and Opinions...) about the concept of 'living life' via social media... and this, to my mind, highlights the danger & foolishness of it.

Never mind the (legal/fiscal) ramifications, it is nearly impossible to escape the on-going interest of some Social/Contact-media. - I still get emails from one, despite having been booted off by them... - Now they act as though they want me back !!!.

Beautiful place those Islands. Years ago visited a friend and sailed around the joint. I think he had one neighbour on his particular island, never saw them.

Considering his reaction, it does make me wonder if there is anything there that is defamatory.

Well, just one more reason not to use Faceplant I suppose. Mind you, don't people think before posting stuff like that? I know it was probably meant with a bit of tongue in cheek, but you do need to be careful...

Is there anyone here related to Satan...?

I only recently made a face book account so I could participate in some fishing forums and a quick communicate with my son overseas. I however have not filled in my whole personal life in my profile, it only has my name.
I don't need the whole world to know about me, my past and my private life. Some people on there give away all their secrets. They don't have to worry about big brother spying on them as they freely volunteer there personal info on it for the world to see.
    Cheers, Mario

Many moons ago, I was persuaded to open a fiddlebook account... but some unprintable scoundrel had nabbed MY nickname !

So somehow, via 'lost password' etc, I managed to have a new access code sent to me.. which I used and, forsooth, gave me entry into this villain's valuable vaults...
I was amazed at how much detailed personal information he'd put there.. health as well as family-relations stuff, career(s) and loads of friends and their 'private' info... Or what I would class as 'not to be shared' stuff...
After wreaking havoc there, UN-friending many of his hangers-on, I left it and never bothered to go back...

Point is. I'm a techy - twit, have NO idea how I managed it... which means that a devious "Someone" with the requisite smarts... could waltz through ANYone's account...

Recently, I opened up a 'legitimate' profile, but like you, put "nothing" personal on it. - Used it to make and maintain contact with newly-discovered Long-Lost Family..... What a waste of time! - Not much came of it, (my fault, have no idea of what to DO with family!) But the banality of the common comments, the minutae of Daily Life being published for the whole world to see... and data-mine... turned me off.
Anyway, it seems that the profile name I chose (another nickname I've always used) was the legal name of someone else on FoolishBook, - and they apparantly complained.... or someone did... and then I got unceremoniously kicked off it... due to me using a name that was NOT mine.... and hence violating some Privacy Provision !

But as I never-ever used my real name anywhere, how did 'they' know with such certainty ?
