Sydney is going to cop another East Coast Low on Sunday afternoon. The BOM reckons worse than the one last week.
My substandard memory recalls that Sydney has an average of 36 days a year without sunshine, but an average rainfall similar to London. So I suppose we have to get it in short large doses.
    Cheers, Billy.

Brisbane is copping the same, Billy, although the prediction is for less severity. The last one coincided with the biggest king tides of the year.

Yes, and didn't it make a mess Ian? Now that there's no beach left as a buffer, I suspect the tides will be less of a factor. Glad I live on a hill above sheltered water.
The worry for you is, how much will fall on the Mountains behind you?
    Cheers, Billy.

Our neighbor recorded 80mm overnight. I believe some parts of Brissie. had 130mm.
Some parts of Oz barely get that much in a year.

We got a game of Rugby in on Sunday morning, although the boys were covered in mud and defeated. I think we missed the worst of it.

Today was one of the most miserable days I remember - about 10C all day, rained all day with a strong, gusty wind. And I had to go out in it and cut some wood!

Not fun at all John. It wasn't cold in Sydney. Not a bad day at all.
    Cheers, Billy.
