    What does a defender driver look like?

    Further to my comment in my "member's ride" thread, yesterday a random pedestrian commented to me as I was leaving my D90, "Nice land rover." and when thanked replied "You shouldn't own that car, your too straight up and down"

    Got me thinking this morning while I was cooking breakfast, "what does a defender driver LOOK like?"

    So option 1:
    I google image searched "Defender Driver". Hit no1:


    Somehow I don't think that's an accurate representation.... (however, I think I would let her drive my 90...)

    A couple images further down....


    Ahhh yes far more representative... but not really what they LOOK like.... just how they act as far as Toyota drivers are concerned....

    Google image search "typical defender driver". Hit no1:


    Ok so I think we are getting closer....

    Option 3:
    Google Image search "Defender Owner"
    ahhh now i'm getting lots more hits!

    I'm still not convinced this is an accurate representation of the Defender driver demographic! If you search "Defender Owner Australia" then you get a pile of photos of defenders and bugger all of their drivers/owners!

    So I put it out to you! Show me the "average" defender driver? Who is he and what does he look like?

    I didn't google any images, but a vague description did spring to mind
    • face like a smashed crab
    • big bushy beard growing in an attempt to cover half of the horror
    • bit of a ripped bit on the back of his jeans, where the belt loop has caught the door latch
    • oil under the fingernails
    • carrying a Land Rover spares price list

    I am so tired of the swim suit girls lingering around my Defender. It's really quite annoying.

    I think you will find an accurate Defender driver pic in the D4 vs Defender thread. ( you know- one of several rambling threads on the subject)��
