Come join us Bob, it's no end of fun. A lot less rules in there - apart from no personal attacks, it's pretty free. Everyone there can (and does) post exactly what they think about the issues being discussed.

    Yep, still alive and well.

The name change was going to be temporary but maybe it's a bit more permanant now.

And that is precisely the problem. I prefer to discuss facts, not someones fantasy. No offense meant, but the naughty corner does not have enough chairs left for me.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

None taken. If you change your mind, there's still a spot there with your name on it.

It's OK, I left my chair vacant after my week in the naughty corner (during which I read a great book by Ben Elton), so you can have it.

Many ,many, years ago my sister bought War and Peace for our dear old Dad.

He was born 1910 , so his history involving both circumstances can be taken as read, and she thought Dad would appreciate such a novel. Poor old bugger only got to page 7

I read 'Two brothers' by Ben Elton, which is set in Nazi Germany, so the war theme is right. Excellent insight into how Adolf Hitler, who led a socialist party, siezed power by spouting nonsense hate speech and inciting unthinking Germans to hate their Jewish neighbours. Has modern parallels, of course, which can only be discussed in the Current Affairs sectiom.
