    Hi Jilden,

There was a link to a graph illustrating this that was really interesting. Don't know who posted it, do you have it?

    cheers, DL

You are aware no doubt that export happened when AEMO forced SA to run both Gas generating sets at Pt Augusta because of demand projections.

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

I notice the plant is so worn out that six generators need replacing. It also has a very bad pollution record.
EGAT has a swag of coal and even a nuclear proposal, which have caused large protests.
Seventy percent of Thailand's power comes from hydro and much of the rest is imported from neighboring countries.
    Interesting.

Just a quick flick over this old thread and I notice you are still spouting things that are not fact!, I was recently in thailand, for rover nuts festival

Much of the generation is lignite and natural gas swell as hydro

Which halfwits stopped the franklin gordon project?, the same ones spouting off how good hydro is today...

    Meanwhile, in Victoria:
We have wind. We have sunshine. Big industry is closed for the weekend. Very pleasant weather but hot. And yet:

Victorian heatwave: State on high fire alert as temperatures climb into the 40s - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
About 3,000 homes have lost power in several parts of Melbourne, including Caroline Springs, North Warrandyte, Warrandyte, Kangaroo Ground Beaconsfield.
    Category: | Herald Sun
EXTREME heat has caused power outages to thousands of homes across Melbourne.

More than 2300 homes in Caroline Springs in the city’s west are without power.

Taylors Hill, Ravenhall, Burnside and Truganina have also been affected by power faults with approximately 850 homes disconnected about 2pm.

About 450 homes in Warrandyte, North Warrandyte and Kangaroo Ground also lost power shortly after 1pm.

Power has also been cut to more than 100 homes in Beaconsfield.

The outages come as Melbourne reached 37 degrees at 1pm — and parts of the state soared into the 40s — on what is set to be the hottest Victorian day in two years.
Closing Hazelwood took such a lot of capacity out of the system.

the power outages are due to due to issues in the local network.
    not with generations.

damand is above average but the generation system isnt being stressed much at all.
