    there are many people who have commented in here who are not part of the CA section.

    leave the politics out and all will be good... except for my power bill

    already done...that accounts for about 10% of our population....

    Without being political I can say that AEMO runs the national electricity market where generators offer their power to retailers. Coal is dearest, gas a bit better and wind and solar power is the cheapest by far. Those are facts.

    South Australia's electricity price woes are more due to gas than wind
    This might help explain why wind is keeping prices down. Less wind power means higher prices for power from other generators who exploit the market.
