    Cafe Latte and Jonesfam.

You blokes OK? I hear there's a big fire your way, with an unfavourable wind shift expected today.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    Thanks V8Ian.
I'm in Doomadgee at work & Caf? latte is probably out working on the fire.

I have stayed in close contact with SWMBO all day, it seems OK at the moment.

The fire is not that far from our place but SWMBO tells me there are a mob of Fireies on the scene & a couple of aircraft also working on it.

    Fingers Crossed.

We're getting conflicting reports here, earlier I heard there was no threat as the fire was within containment lines, now the radio says residents are on standby for imminent evacuation.

Spoke to SWMBO an hour or so ago, she said it is very smokey but our place is not currently under threat.
She has laid out the hoses & sprinklers etc.
I told her that if the fire comes just get the hell out & don't worry about trying to fight it.
Never know with my SWMBO? But I hope she would bugger off.

I have since just checked the Rural Fires site & they have down graded the fire. As the fire is about 3k from home I'm hoping all will be well.

Yes, even SWMBO was confused, the radio was telling her 1 thing but the Rural Fires site another, she phoned Rural Fires to get an update. She said the radio had her very worried but after talking to Rural fires she felt a lot safer.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
