Some photos from the V Nationals

Some photos from the V Nationals on Sunday 23/10/2016. First lot are of Frank Karl's #12 McLaren F5000 on fire. Frank is a NZ competitor and had traveled to WA for this event. had burns to R Hand after fuel ran down into glove. Next lot were the ancient mating ritual of the North American Mustang and the rarely seen British Jaguar.
At least no one got a pick of me boots up in the Jaguar trying to get the isolator on the left side that was buried in the sand.
Thankyou Simon Rees Photography for permission to re-publish these pics and Bruce Varcoe for the Jag Pic from the stands.
Hopefully some video from the Mustang soon.
Got raps from the international F5000 drivers for our response, 2 vehicles on scene of fire in 30 seconds, 3 in 45 and 4 in 1 minute. Driver removed and treated before Victor 1 Doctor arrived after I called through med assistance required, Lucky I had my camel back so I could start quenching the burns. 3 x 9kg Foam, 1 x 9kg DCP and 1 x 9kg Hi Caffs Foam unit to extinguish. Fire out in another 40 seconds. Have to check my Go Pro footage tonight.

    Thanks Craig.
I saw 2 competitors from Albany pass thru town, head up and return with pristine looking war machines.
The bright orange XW GT and bright blue HK Monaro, both fierce competitors at the around the houses meets.
I wondered what event was on.

    Yeah Andy,
They race in the HTC events quite regularly. One of the guys brought up a Chrysler 6.4 300 Hemi and we took that around the track.
Next event is November 19th and will be the 300, will find out what cars will be racing.
    Cheers
