Poor bugger.
With my experience with LR I know how he feels.
I really feel for the bloke and hope his fortune improves.
Speaking of fortune, I still shake my head every time I see what people pay for these machines..
Trouble is they actually believe the "unbreakable, unstoppable" adverts Tojo put out.
I had to gently (not too gently though) remind a bloke in Broome when he made a comment like "You're brave to leave the city in one of them ain't yer mate?" when I was checking the oil on our then Disco1, that he was the one with the bonnet up waiting for someone to tow his LC away for fixing.... when they could find out what was wrong with the thing that is.
Anything goes wrong with their vehicles it's always the very first time it's played up but if a Landie does the same thing "they're always breaking down, I've seen hundreds on tow trucks" is the type of comment made.
Strange people.

What warranty, they seem to try to get out of everything....
How do i know?
I run a fleet of yota vans.
But after many ,many years of having them, they have given me way less dramas than any LR product i have ever owned.
But of course they are way less complicated than the latest LR products.
I know i will get shot down, but the truth is the truth.
Just taken one out of service this week,to be sold, has done 280000k,never done anything to it,apart from regular services, and batteries, never even touched the brakes. It has been fully loaded, all day every day and done a lot of around town work.
The one i drive has just clocked 230000k,had a water pump under warranty, thats it.And one battery, the OEM batteries are crap, generally only last 2 yrs,and Toyota don't warrant them.
Interesting to,Toyota have no roadside assist on any of their vehicles, even the top of the range models, which i find strange.I thought all manufacturers had it on their products.
Just my 2 cents worth......![]()
