There are a few Lr's on there, a nice RR that hammers through the soft stuff and 2 disco's that both end up bogged. A D2 that was either to high pressure or to slow and a D4 who go through but then went back to help a bogged toymota with a trailer but got bogged as soon as he stopped!

There are couple of things so wrong with this. First , if you take on the responsibility of a recovery, you must brief the other vehicle of how the recovery will go. And you take responsibility for how it goes. The other driver didn't have an Australian licence, if I heard correctly. Set up for disaster. If some one had been hurt or died, where do you think the responsibility would lay.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I do agree Bob, but my sick sense of humour had me laughing.

Just glad no one got hurt.

I am sure the rear door of the Defender will have been damaged when they checked it in detail.

Thats a real shame, Fraser Island is the greatest place and one of my favourite destinations. When I was there 12 months ago there were so few people there, the tracks were great and the island, its lakes and other features were as magnificent as ever. The Xmas rush was starting as we came off the island though and there were vehicles bogged everywhere trying to get to the barge - Mind you, that short soft run to the barge is probably why most people are fine if they can actually get onto the island.
    Cheers
