I've been reading the Racwa PDS. It's fairly similar in terms of what's covered although gravel roads accessible to a 2wd appear to be covered.
Anyone that runs into strife up my way is welcome to get in touch.
I won't be much help mechanically, and don't have a car float, but I've got a good repertoire of choice sayings like:
"Strewth- She's buggered"
"****s ****ed"
and "You got insurance? Pass me the jerry and that lighter"
WOW...:eek::eek:
Things have certainly changed with Total care... I know plenty of people that have had amazing service and been helped in the middle of no where!
I'd certainly be escalating it Wardy...
Reading through this:

I see nothing about National Parks... and under areas covered it says this..
Service will be provided on private property or on any public highway in Victoria, provided they are trafficable to normal two wheel drive vehicles. This excludes areas such as open fields, beaches, creek beds, recreation ovals, bicycle paths, bicycle tracks, logging or forest service roads and roads which do not allow oncoming traffic to safely pass. Where service is required in large car parks, the driver will be required to meet the Service Provider at a predetermined meeting point.
Sounds like the person dealing with your claim was an arsehole. :mad::mad:
I'll be watching this closely as I have Total Care.... when I took it out years ago, I asked lots and lots of questions - at the time you were covered on any gazetted road in Australia.
On a positive note.... how good are those D4's :D:D:D
Mick I am sure between Chops and I we can help.....;)
Nope at the time I originally took out total care it remember seeing it written...
And many years ago a friend had a major wiring burn out in a classic Rangie in Warburton WA..... Total care got his vehicle out of there and sorted.. I seem to remember discussion of an 800km tow truck trip!...
It certainly doesn't sound like it is today what it was...:(
