    Beer & Garbage Collectors?

I was speaking to SWMBO last night & she said she had forgotten to leave the Beer for the Garbo's out before X-Mas & would it be Bad Form to put it out this week?
I said I didn't think they would mind.

Then SWMBO asked if leaving Beer out for the Garbo's was still the done thing?

I didn't know, so is it?
Who still leaves Beer on top of the bin for the Garbo's?

It's like buying end of year gifts for school teacher, is that still done?
SWMBO still does it which is like a lot of gifts when you have 5 kids with teachers, teachers aids, office staff, & about 9 Special Needs teachers.

Why would you you leave beer out for grumps that are happy to wake you up at sparrow fart in their trucks - are happy to spill your garbage all over the road, damage your garbage bin and you car if it is in their way and dump your garbage bin 3 doors up the street. Oh - and abuse you if you put a can in the garbage bin instead of the recycling bin.

The days of nice garbos are well and truly gone and now the world of the grinch garbo is alive and well.

    Our Garbo's are good.
The bins are about a Km from the house & they don't come until mid morning.
Even when SWMBO piles a heap of stuff on top of the bin they still collect it & haven't managed to brake bin yet.

And, we figure for a few $ for a 6 pack we might keep them doing a good job for us.

Ah, but if you give them 1/2 dozen stubbies a year, you'll be amazed by the service you get. . I wait around home on the last garbage run before Chrissy and give them 1/2 dozen each - my bins are always left where I put them, and I get the extra odd bin done if I'm around, they'll let me chuck in a a heap of boxes etc if I've got a lot and empty the bin again.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Would be nice to see. A few extra taxpayers in the system and maybe a few more physically fitter members of society. My short time as a back rider was an eye opener. Often got six packs for tipping an extra bin into the hopper
