Would that be because too many people are invading your person space. That's why we don't go away during this time.

I think the problem we have is everyone is forced to take holidays at a lot work places etc and the mass then invades places. Throw in School holidays.

We next only have to get over the Aus day holiday coming up and Easter.
My sister lives in Rosebud on the Mornington peninsular, she and the locals complain when the invasion of holiday makers take over the place. The locals can't get bare essentials as the holiday makers clean the supermarkets out of everything like bread milk etc. The hoons tearing around at night, the boozers, the bumper to bumper traffic, the vandalism etc.
    Winter time get quiet though.

So the business owners complain about all the extra sales? Quite a few businesses rely upon Christmas and Easter holidays to fill the bank account to see them through the rest of the year.

Went past your place on the 21st on the way to Port Gregory. Was going thru Wilbinga when I saw smoke going up from that fire near Wedge Island, when I went past it was huge. Was dry lightening happening at the time. Was bloody hot too,42degC.Not the best conditions for a fire, how did it end up???I had no wireless in camp.

Did not hear about that one but saw the smoke , so must have been caught and controlled fairly quickly i would say . Twas a bit tropical that day , bit warm for camping ,be alright though with an air conditioned tent and a Late coffee maker .
