    SNAP!

Many years ago I got a ticket in the Mail from VICPOL allegedly for some " speeding misdemeanor" in some country town between Adel & Melb.

Rang the RAA for advice & was advised to write back & request a photo of said offence. ie. model & Make of vehicle & colour, in this case a Carrigada Green '95 Discovery but I didn't mention that. A few weeks later a reply came back which said they were dropping the case & full of apologies.

Maybe it was because I hadn't been in Vic for about 12 years & was not in a Discovery then, but a Holden HR Wagon.

A slight resemblance I suppose, in that they both had 4 wheels.

RAA advised that mine wasn't the first case brought to their attention & they had several others.

A nice grab for cash, the bastards. Aren't cops supposed to be honest or is that in my imagination & Story Books?

How many would have copped it & paid up?

    SNAP,again.

Many years ago in another life, the boss came and saw me and said that there is an infringement notice that wasn't paid for,a notice came in the mail.It was for the the van i had, which at the time was a new XE Falcon. So that was a few years ago,1983 me thinks.
The notice was for Datsun 180B for driving with undue care and attention.

The rego for my van had a U in it,but if you looked very closely at the ticket,it was a V,not a U.Same rego number, except for the V

So they sent it back, with a note, and we never heard from then again.

    Something to think about.

    From the Westprint Friday 5.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Theo Jansen and the Strandbeest. Some mind-blowing mechanical geometry going on. And some wind...

Transferable knowledge for sure... not necessarily the best application as the 'feet' need to lift a bit higher for rough terrain but interesting none the less.

No entrapment issues to be had there bringing that to market...

Not sure how it gets though doors or loads into a vehicle either.
