That's a nice bit of photoshopping. Maybe the guys in the UK coverting D1's to Forward Controls can take this up as their next venture...

Saw this neat truck today but didn't get to speak with the owner. Anyone know about it?

Nice restoration, but I cannot help with this particular truck.

Yep, I've seen that a few times. It used to be parked outside a place, with an advertising sign in the tray at....at.....at....at.......Curse you, DM!

I like the look of the dual cab.

I’m still not sold on how close the guard is to the rear wheel (compare it to front wheel clearance) and how it would affect off-road use. Great concept though!

Rear guard probably moves with the axle.

As far as I can tell from magnifying several different published photos, regardless of wheel/guard combo movement, it doesn't look like there is much room above the rear wheels on any model. Anything more than a few inches uplift will stop hard against the tray. I wonder if that limits wheel travel enough to compromise offroad performance compared to a D1. Having said that, if you can form a wheel arch into the rear tray like a well body ute, or lift the tray slightly, I would buy one in a heartbeat if I had the money.
