Ron, it's a pop culture reference. Look up the movie 'Bad Boy Bubby'. He was tricked by his mother into believing the world had suffered a catastrophe and so grew up never leaving his basement. He eventually does so when he is in his 30's and shenanigans ensue.

Not really a movie watcher - although I have been to the movies twice since 1970 - and left after half an hour the second time as it was too loud.
Ear plugs help. Most of the younger generation is half deaf from headphones and excessive volume.
I'm not a cinema person. I like to pause a DVD for a cuppa or a pee :-)
Anyway, someone told me cinema tickets have gone up to 3s 9d !

It was to see the Isle of Man TT movie. Had I ridden my bike, I'd have had ear plugs with me. I now have a little Land Rover aluminium tube ear plug holder attached to my keyring so that I always have them with me.Quote:
